It's a wrap! After six focused hours per classroom, phase 1 of the school pilot has completed. This wasn't about teaching children to use AI. It was about helping them think well with AI — questioning it, spotting its mistakes, and understanding where humans genuinely fit in. So much learning for ALL involved!

The pilot begain here, where over 80 parents signed up for an evening presentation where they asked brilliant questions, and engaged enthusiastically with what AI fluency could (and should) look like for their children.

From the moment we walked in and saw their vision proudly displayed by the front door: “When we work hard and we are kind, amazing things happen.” We knew we’d be on the same page! It was really exciting to see the success of the programme’s built-in attention supports in action. An inspiring environment where children asked some of the sharpest questions of the entire pilot. A favourite bit ? We had a sheet called ‘What I know about AI’. At the beginning of the day it had a handful of post-its and then suddenly - it snowballed - the kids gleefully sticking more and more post-its with observations - some profound, others really funny - and all valid.
